Black Bears, Coastal NC 2023
Black Bears, Coastal North Carolina
Session 1: May 22-25th
Session 2: June 26-29th
Joins Shoot the Light Host, Joe Subolefsky for this intimate workshop.
Enjoy coastal North Carolina for an excellent photographic opportunity at the most concentrated black bear population on the planet. The mild climate allows the bears to feed year-round and grow to their full potential of 700 or 800 pounds. There is even a 900 pound bear on record! During these workshops, the massive males are on the move seeking out and breeding with females. Additional females are bringing out their cubs to feed in the crop fields, giving us multiple opportunities per session to capture the essence of the black bear. Numerous sightings and the small group setting give you the perfect chance to find tune your photography skills. Bonus animals on this adventure include the very elusive, critically threatened Red Wolf, coyotes, Owls and various reptiles.
