Jaguars and more of the Pantanal, Brazil 2023
Jaguars and more of the Pantanal, Brazil
August 21st -31st, 2023 (2 spaces available)
Arrive in Cuiaba, Brazil on August 21st. We return to Cuiaba in the afternoon of August 31st.
Join Joe Subolefsky as he returns to the largest wetland on the planet for this intimate workshop.
Limited to five participants. Small participant numbers allows us to stay on a comfortable flotel directly on the river with the Jaguars and allows each person to have their own row in the boat to comfortably shoot to each side of the photo boat.
Embark on an adventurous 10-day expedition to capture Brazil’s most famous creatures, big and small. Enjoy diverse bird life, mammals and scenery in Brazil’s Pantanal, the largest wetland on the planet. The main star of this workshop will be the Pantanal Jaguar, the third largest cat in the world! Pantanal Jaguars are double the size of Amazonian Jaguars. Five days on the river and its interconnected waterways will give us ample opportunities to capture this beast. We are certain to encounter and photograph the area’s famous Giant River Otters, Capybaras, Caimans, Tapirs, various bird species and more!
This amazing experience will include time at a separate lodge on our way to and another lodge while leaving Jaguar land. Both of these comfortable lodges provide fantastic photography opportunities. We also will have two evening sessions photographing the elusive Ocelots. While we travel along the 90 mile 100 bridge Transpantaneira road that welcomes you into the wilds we will stop to photograph varies species we are sure to encounter.
Stay at lodges with the amenities of home and travel with English-speaking local guides as you embark on an adventure like no other.
